Late 80's model in a renken
So last week comin back from tices, the boat felt like it fell out of gear a few times, i figured it was a prop hub and just eased it back home.
This week i take it out, with the new prop everything is fine, get to tices about to anchor up and the drive won't go into neutral, had to shut it off before i ran over my anchor that i just dropped.
I played around with it a little trying to get it to shift with no avail, I ended up bypassing the start in gear protection circuit so i could get it to start in gear.
I haven't worked on these volvos too much, does this sound like the shift cable, or with the whole dropping out of gear thing do you think the drive is blown.
Now the whole ride home it would only drop out of gear if you tried to accelerate too fast, but if you eased up slowly i could get it on a plane and hold it there.
Any input is appreciated.
