Re: Viper?

Little more cup and a little more rake than the regular SS from the Bomb, so its grips a bit better and has a bit more bow lift.

Re: Viper?

its a 17 pitch viper on a 16'8" Stratos FS, 115 Rude looper style, what kind of top speed should I expect, hoping 45-50, with the power to pull slalom skiiers, me being the heaviest 190-200 lbs. Experienced skiier don't mind dragging, if it will wind up I can hang on.

Re: Viper?

What rpm are you pulling with your present prop and what is it? A 17in pitch turing 6000rpm, with 2:1 gears and 10% slip, resulting top speed should be 43.5 mph

Re: Viper?

New boat to me just picked it up this week, havn't driven it yet, got it from a dealer with all the mainanance records and clean bill of health. Hoping it is turning near 6000 as I don't want to prop it any lower.

Got some goodies for it over Christmas, got to mount and install. Waiting for a free weekend wilth some nice weather to run it. hopefully very soon, Fingers crossed.
