Your compression is still low as that motor came from factory with "high ring pistons" and some tight heads. Compression should be in the 120-130's as new compression was around 145

Well maybe thats the issue as it ran worse yesterday. Transition issues are gone but it would not idle worth a darn. It does however still act weird.

Using the warm up lever the rpms will slowly run away. I lower them and the rpms fall off but the motor heads towards stalling so I raise them again and the cylce repeats. After a few minutes of this I can get them to stabilize at 2k.

So whatever it is it is clearly out of my ability to fix. If it is the low compression causing the issue then this motor goes on the junk pile to be sold off for parts and the 70 goes back on and I'll call it an expensive mistake.
