Universal top mount controls

I recently got another boat it’s a center console
and my 84’ Evinrude 70hp has side mount controls
I was looking around and I found this top mount control
dies anyone have any experience with these ,will it work?
(I’m not worried about the wiring)
or can anyone provide some ideas/pics of how I can mount a side mount control box on a center console without it looking horrible ?

I believe you can move the handle to the other side on the control you have now.----Then mount the box on the console.

Dennis, the control you pictured is a Morse Control using 33C cables, OR a Morse Control made for OMC, using OMC cables. I'm not smart enough this early in the morning to be sure which. However, since it is labeled as "Universal" let's assume it is a Morse / 33C. Either way, they are excellent controls and I know of no reason it won't work on your motor with the proper cables and fittings. SEE EDIT---

EDIT: Morse Controls Company sold out to Teleflex, which is now SeaStar. I am a long way from being up to date on what is available for cables and fittings for that control and your motor. Do your homework before spending any $$
