I started getting this error, TVM Fault Critical, and sometimes my Starboard motor would just quit. After I silence the bells and alarms it starts right up again.
Today I was trying to do dig deeper in the trouble i noticed my voltage at idle was ready 12.0v.

Can any one point me the right direction so get this sorted. I have attached some screenshots from the Vessel View display if it helps

Does the port motor show up as 12V also when the starboard has the fault?

Some of the findings on the web list maintenance faults but have found none for critical. These listings do indicate that it the Merc G3 software (Merc only) is needed to analysis issues

Ok .1, but what does the starboard motor show when this is going on?

I want to know if the 12V is normal or should it be 14+V

I will be back at the boat on Friday, i will test the batteries and alternators and video the vessel view voltage when the fault occurs.

Update. When running at idle my VV shows voltage less than 13v. I got it a throw the error alarm when I was cranking the engine, voltage dropped to 9v and that is when the alarm get off.
video show idle and 1200rpm and the volt.
starting batteries are Deka Group 27 lead acid with 800 MCA and voltage and load tested ok.

With the Bats testing good, then there is an alternator problem. Once motor goes up to 1200 rpm the first time you should see around 14.5 volts. The most I saw was 13 something

Put a voltmeter on the battery's and if your seeing the same voltage then its in the charging circuit
