Tune-up parts for 4.3L Merc

Looking to do a tune-up on my boat before the season is over. She's running kinda rough in idle and looking at the cap, rotor and plugs, it looks like they reached the end of their service life.

Can I go to my local auto parts store and get the cap and rotor assembly for a similar engine? For example, the 4.3L was used in the 1988 Chevy Caprice. Would this work for my application? Anyone else try this and had success? What about other interchangeable parts such as plugs, oil filter, and fuel filter? Thanks in advance. ~Milt

Cap and rotor will fit from a chevy with the same engine. However be sure the cap is the screw on type, and be sure it's the same as the one you got as safety is an issue, sparks and wot not. oil filter and plugs are the same, fuel filter depends on the type of filter your Merc is fitted with, may not be the same as on a car, but you can just compare them, should be obvius if it's the same or not.
