Trim tab will help counteract torque steer caused by rotation of prop...which is usually clockwise.....if your motor had one and it's missing then you should buy one and install it....looking at the back of the motor the fin would be turned to your right(starboard), and can be adjusted some depending on the amount of torque steer that you're experiencing at various speeds. The fin on my 90HP motor is turned full right but I still have to keep my hand on the wheel to maintain heading....about the only real perfect solution for torque steer would be a hydraulic steering set- up, like many larger/ higher HP boats have.....A new trim tab is about $5....
