I have a 4cyl 3.7mercruiser alpha one. My trim gauge hasn't ever worked since I bought the boat. Is this an easy replacement? Or is a replacment that is going to require new gauge, new wiring? I know you can't exactly answer without testing and seeing the boat, but I am trying to get a feel of what I am getting into...also cost wise? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Trim Gauge Replacement

You probably test the sender and wiring, the wires usually get pinched under the bell housing on the alpha one. Do a search just last week someone posted a link with step by step instructions.

Its a pain. My bet your wires in the gimble housing are rotten. Very common.

Trim Senders
