Re: Transom cracked across top
Re: Transom cracked across top
Hey guys!
Well I didn't try getting it on the water and I'm glad I didnt, ended up getting a 14ft tinny and have since been trying to sell this one. I'm basically getting $200 offers (without motor) and have seen these sell personally for over 4k still with the old paint on them and refurbs around the 5-6k mark. I've spent $1800 on it all so far so I'd be better of doing it up to make my money back.
I want to replace the transom and deck and give it a fresh paint and sell one of the boats and keep the other depending on which one I like more.
I'm going to start popping the cap but I just had a question about the stringers, they look good to me but all I did to check was drill a hole in the center one at the rear near the transom. Is there a more elaborate way of checking? I know If the floor and transom is stuffed the stringers should be stuffed too, that's what's worrying me, however they seem fine, or at least the one I drilled into was..
