Well hello all, I junked the venture redo and got a 90 nitro 165, with 90hp johnson motor.
After removing the transducer I found this mess. The wood is solid and not wet.
How would you go about fixing it.
Oh and do you think the hole in the second pick would be a problem.
Thanks in advance

Time to do a good inspection of this boat.----I think you might find more issues.-----What year is the boat.-----What year is the motor ?

Well after a thorough inspection looks Ill need to do the transom. From my understanding this boat doesnt have stringers. If that is the case I will just use some seacast for the transom and call it a day. Its a 1990 Nitro 165 with a 90 hp motor.

Your thoughts

You are sure there are no stringers ??-----Most modern boats have some kind of structure under the floor.----Inspection to be done.

This is a similar boat made by nitro. In this guys rebuild it just has flotation blocks from front to back.

interesting, if stringers are covered in enough fiberglass, the glass does most of the work anyhow. They may have just used that principal and and designed the glass on the flotation to be stress skin.....kind of like building a unibody car vs one on a frame.
