Re: Towing boat with a G35 coupe

This thread just amazes me for two reasons.

1. This guy just joined in 2013 and the screen name floatsyourboat was available
2. I really want to see this train wreck waiting to happen if it exists

I wonder if they make a class 5 to fit a golf cart

I tow my 35' cabin cruiser with a Prius. It works great, you guys don't know what you are talking about. The tow rating is propaganda made up by freakin Obama to help his agenda.

I agree with the OP.
But the mirrors he needs are those giant chrome ones that my dad used on the front fenders of his 76' LTD. I think they would look fine on a G35.
And, I think he should remove the trunk lid and install a 5th wheel, or maybe a goose neck.

Maybe he can TOW the G35 with the Yamaha 242 Limited. I bet it would make a great wake-board.

I wonder if the OP is reading the posts and understanding the flogging he is getting.

I think you guys are underestimating the towing ability of modern small cars.

A horse with an appropriate harness could easily pull that boat up a ramp. So any thing with more than 1 horsepower is overkill ;).

and lots of block and tackle, and probably a 1000 feet of line! In that case, don't even need 1 hp, a human could even do it!

Re: Towing boat with a G35 coupe

This actually WAS production, but there was a 5th wheel adapter and matching camper for VW beetles back in the day... No cruise control needed, you just hold your foot to the floor.

Way back when I used to mess with the game/ simulator called Rigs of Rods, I actually took a Beetle model and changed it so it had a 5th wheel on the roof to mimic that. It actually worked quite well.
