one person's too hot is another's just right. Water temp around Bradenton is between 86 and 94 depending on where its taken.

This past Sunday...St. George Sound...92*(water temp)...heat index 102*...even the breeze was HOT!

Sounds like when I lived in Phoenix 20 years ago. We were coming back from the lake in my buddy's van, middle of the day, middle of August, NO AC working in the van. It must have been 125* outside and the van was like a convection oven with the windows rolled down, so we rolled them up to escape the heat. The slow bake was better than the blast furnace... :rolleyes:

It's a balmy 70* today and the water's just as hot... on the surface.

Ocean City Md. water temps = 78 degrees
Cheaspeake Bay water temp = 85 degrees
Pool = 80 degrees

For the first time in history, a nuclear power plant in CT has shut down because the waters in Long Island Sound are so warm they cannot provide sufficient cooling to operate the plant. They were designed with significant margin above the mean high temps. Yikes!
