We had just plain old corn cobs for years. Two bushel baskets right next to the throne in the outhouse. One held brown corn cobs and the other white ones. Now the white ones were hard to come by so you used a couple of brown ones first and then a white one to see if you needed more brown ones.

I'm glad life has progressed and we now have toilet paper. The only problem I have is that those paper cobs are too slick and you have to unwrap so much wrapping paper to get to them.:rolleyes:
