I got a 84 evinrude 50 hp with a tnt unit that sets outside of the mount brackets. I was thinking of putting it on my BassBuggy pontoon boat but the tnt motor would be to the right, out past the transom. In other words, it looks like the motor of the tnt would get a great wash-job every time I ran the boat. Would this hurt the tnt motor?

I got the same engine on a 18' Bass Buggy Jcrain. Makes quite a roster tail..... :) The water shouldn't get into anything since the TNT units are water tight. But....I had the same concerns so I took some sheet aluminum and made a water deflector to keep the TNT unit outta' the water stream. Doesn't take a huge deflector and works pretty good.

It shouldn't. They are designed for that environment.

Thanks, guys, I was hoping that would be the answer. Looks like the 40 horse jonny will go on the chrysler boat and the 50 evinrude to the bassbuggy :D
