Timing

I have a 97 deckboat with a 5.7 yems. The timing isn't advancing does anyone know how to set the timing on this thing? It does not have a distributor.

Yamaha Engine management System. Port side front of intake manifold. Four plugs, two male two female. not labeled but plug the males into the females and it will lock the timing for setting.
