Hi there,
Was wondering is someone could help me. I have a 70HP Johnson (1982 I think). Every time I start it I have problem throttling up. I throttle up from Idle speed and the motor starts missing, I ease back on the throttle to idle and it starts idling smooth again.
I have found that if I give the throttle a quick heavy nudge forward the motor picks up and I am away. I then have no problems at any RPM after that quick throttle hit.
However if I turn the motor off I then need to go through the same process of a quick nudge on the throttle to get the motor running smoothly.
Hoping someone can help me.
