Thanks for the info last night. I worked on the shift cable like you said, and today--no problems. I work with a medical mission and am a volunteer. I get support from my church and family. I've spent about $3500 on this boat and motor which for me is about a year's savings, so I'm a little paranoid about it. I appreciate this forum--you've saved me a lot of money. There's a reason I'm a chef---I ain't no mechanic!!! blt
