Trying to decide how bad it is to test compression while out of the water?
Seems that to do all cyl's for 6 seconds each isn't tooooo, bad, but then again, running the impeller dry is never a good thing. I recall seeing some damage that supposedly happens over a very short period of time if ran dry.
Also wondering if it might be slightly inaccurate (of a reading) if done in the water as there will be some additional drag on the engine so the battery might not quite spin it as hard? Then again, if the rubber impeller doesn't have the water to lubricate it, it may run harder when dry that in the water.
