Guys i was wondering i bought 2 used trim cylinders from a local seller. The issue that i noticed when installing the new (to me) cylinder is that they are loose at the gimbal pin. Compared to my old ones that fit snug. I noticed that the brass or copper (unaware of material type) is less on one of the cylinders. I tried to see of there was a bushing that was sold seperately but did not see any on the parts diagram. Any of you ever delt with such issues?

The plastic bushing is to be inserted in the outdrive housing, not the trim cylinder.

I know of the plastic bushing that goes in the gimbal. I was refering to the brass bushing that is in the rear of the cylinder.

Nope, look it up in the SM. Maybe on the newer rams but the older style go in the ends of the rams also

Just saw the video, your ram is different then the job I just did .

A bit puzzling, the earlier Cobra drives had the nylon bushings.

I can only assume that they have been modified by someone. They look like the VP cylinders for the SX & DP outdrives from 1995 to 2005. I think you might be able to find a brass bushing to fit inside that has a 19mm or 3/4" ID to suit the pivot pins. Or perhaps the nylon bushings that are in the outdrive might just fit ie. part number Bushing 3853423 and Grommet 3853424.
