If I take my lower off my 110 johnson and stick it on my 95 60 degree 150 intruder would this create any problems since the splines line up? Thanks My intruder lower is bad.

The 110 uses a smaller L/U. The splines MAY match, but I do not believe the housings will.

The commercial V-4's used a V-6 gearcase, but the regular 110's did NOT.

You can make it work. Been there, done that. With the 2:1 ratio in the V4 case, your low end response will be tremendous. You'll obviuosly have to use a V4 prop.

Make sure you use the best synthetic gear lube available. That much torque on V4 gears is hard on them. The bigger the boat, the harder it is on them.

If it were me, I'd just get the V6 gearcase.
