Hey guys. I acquired a Suzuki Spirit 16 on a boat for my Dad and need some info.
Motor #'s 1601 001494
Anyone know the correct fuel mixture? And we're not sure if it runs yet. All I have found to read on it sais "let it fall off the back of the boat, you'll be better off". Any pointers would be great. Just tryin to give the old man a hand.

Re: Suzuki Spirit 16

I have a 1977 20 hp Spirit and run 50:1. My owners manual says 25:1 for break-in, 50:1 after break-in period using certified oil, 30:1 with non-certified oil. So get some good 2 cycle oil and go 50:1.
They are good motors, easy to work on, well built and strong, but may be difficult to find parts for, depending on what part. The Suzuki dealers here won't touch them because "Arctic Cat used their own parts", even though mine are all Suzuki. I actually have two Spirits, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
