Hello,
I have a 2-stroke 1991 Suzuki DT25 (Model No:02503-132880).
The salty deposits that I found inside the engine and discussed in an earlier thread, convinced me to open up and inspect the cylinder head & gasket.
Results?
1. I obviously need to change the gasket (see attached pics)
2. I found thick deposits of salt (See photo 3 & 5)
3. Slight rustiness on the cylinder head (See photo 9)
4. Black residue inside the cylinder compartment (See photo 2)
I need help on the following:
1. Installing the gasket. Is it easy? do I need to know anything to do so?
2. How to remove the salt. Obviously its all the way inside the engine. How do I clean it?
3. Do I need to worry about the rustiness on the cylinder head?
4. Does the black reside mean that I am "running rich"?
