Another problem I have with my enginer (Dt115, 1986)
Apart from the alarm issues, running the engine reasonably hard, pull up to idle speed after about 10 mins of running, engine stops like the key has been removed and refuses to start.
10 mins of trying, not even an attempt to start, plenty of fuel and running fine before coming to idle stop
Towed back into harbour by friendly fisherman, sat in harbour 10 mins and starts up on first key turn. Potter round the harbour, no problem at all.
Then starts to slow down the idle speed and the action of putting it in gear stalls the engine.
a) Idle speed is about 900rpm according to rev counter (although I dont believe this as it can jump to 3000rpm without the enginer note or speed increasing?
