Stripped threads in lower unit

1970 Evinrude, 60HP<br /><br />How do you suggest repairing stripped threads in one of the four main holes bolting on the lower unit? The metal corrosion was caused by the use of a standard steel bolt, (zinc).

Hi Lenny,<br /><br />One of the benefits of having so many subscribers to these forums is that the same problems pop up from time to time and therfore solutions are regularly thrashed out. I've thought about that myself when changing my water pump impeller. I guess you would drill it out and use a heli-coil??
