Stratos 1760 DV, length 17'6", beam 92", w/o engine 1490# dry weight.
115 etec, 375# dry weight, 2.0:1, operating range 5500-6000 rpm.
Current props:
BRP Alum 13.2x19, wot 5350 @ 48-49 mph (gps)
BRP Raker 13.5x18, wot 5650 @ 43-44 mph (gps)

Hi Guys,
I am trying to find a prop that will put me in that 48-49 mph range while keeping my rpms up around 5600-5700. I get the speed out of the alum 19p but i feel like its lugging the motor. I think the hieght is pretty good, while running in the 40's with the motor trimmed in the sweet spot, i can see the A/V plate above the water line.

I just dinged up the raker. So before i fork out 200 to get it repaired, thought i would check with you experts. Maybe i would be better off with a different prop?

Thanks for your time, Bruce

Re: Stratos 115etec

Im going to the prop shop tomorrow (if there open) see what they can do with the raker. I would like to try a 13.25x19 laser II, im thinking those thinner blades would help keep my rpms up.

The thinner blades allow a better bite....pull harder.
The numbers you give for the Raker make me think it's worn considerably...in most cases the Raker lifts so much more than any aluminum prop that the difference is like night and day. If you can get that Raker to a good shop, I'd say let'em look it over. The numbers just don't add up right.

The raker is only a few months old. Was like new until i hit the rock last weekend. Maybe could raise the motor 1 hole? Prop shop was closed today...

Well, thats clears some of it up... a "New" Raker. An older gen 2 Raker was likely the best made design-wise. I think we'd be on gen 4 at least...now.
It still should really lift that boat though. A Turbo1 or Stiletto Advantage may be better suited to your hull style though. If it had a pad bottom, the Raker should be a good choice...you have a bit more room to play with the Turbo or Stileto though.

I allways suggest raising the motor to a point just before venting becomes a problem.
If you have no venting issues now you are probably too low.

Re: Stratos 115etec

Raised her up 1 hole, now on #3.

The Raker performed like crap, slow out of the hole, venting as soon as i start trimming out, seems like the bow is up too high and the stern is dragging in the water.

So i got a Solas Amita 17p. The boat jumps up on plane and handles great. 5700 rpm @ 41-42 mph (gps) I hate to give up the extra speed but the performance seems so much better. The motor even sounds better with the 4blade Solas.
