Hello all,
Summers here and time to try and get the boat around. Steering was a little stiff last year, tried greasing it up this year but no real luck. The boat is a Mark Twain from the late sixty's i think. Looks like it is an old rack and pinion system. Was thinking of replacing it with a rotary system.Rotech Rotary Steering System Package, 11' - Uflex to be precise. Any ideas or comments would be great.

Re: Steering repair

Steering cables (no marine cables for that matter) are not meant to be greased. If it is the cable that is stiff it is because it is damaged on the inside.
