Steering cable...

I'm very aggrevated.....I have a 14ft teleflex steering cable connected to my 85hp force outboard...why is it so hard to find the right replacement? Number on cable is SC10514 manufactured in 1984 rack n pinion. I believe it is back mount whatever that means... also on my oem rack the mount seems to be irremovible if that's even a word. I noticed the new rack and cable doesnt include the mount what the hell am I supposed to do after taking all that time to remove the cable? Sorry I didnt see a steering cable section so I was hoping JB would move me the right way. HELP im almost on the water!!

You can buy a complete rack and cable for $160, or you can buy just a cable for $135.

Suggest you contact Teleflex to get current part number if you are just going to replace the cable.
