I have a Volvo Penta 4.3GLPBYC with SX Cobra outdrive. Just replaced the belts (all three). Replaced the Stern Drive Gear Oil (pumped in from the lower unit Drain/Fill hole. And added a bit of steering fluid to the Pump. It was just a bit low (marked on the low level). Now when I give the boat just a little more gas than idle, there is a squeel when turning. I notied before bringing it in, it would squeel at idle when turning all the way to the left but not the right. Under power, it squeel both directions but more to the left. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Re: Squeel in the steering

Belt slippage. Can be due to belts not tight enough, a pump gone bad, or even a belt with the incorrect profile (if the belt does not "fit" in the V-groove, it can slip/squeal easier).
Just as in a car, if you "turn all the way", you will "stress" the power steering system.
