SPEED CONTROL

I need to find a part for my 1956 Johnson 30HP. There is a piece in the bottom of the speed control lever that fits in a slot on the bottom gear that the two ears are broken off of.
See the attached pictures. Does anyone know if that part is available or is it something I should fabricate?
This piece doesn't show in the parts book I have so I don't have a part number.

likely number 104, part number 0329197 in the diagram: http://www.iboats.com/Powerhead-Group/dm/cart_id.988251322--session_id.002250929--view_id.1544161 (Believe I called up a '68 version, but think it should work.) Unless the '56 was different, yours isn't broken off -- it's missing. Could probably fabricate one, or just order it.
