I was perusing my manual for the motor. Noticed it recommended Champion plugs which croosed over to NGK B8S. Noticed my motor had B6S plugs in it. What would having these plugs in the motor instead of the B8S plugs mean or do?

The B6S is a hotter plug than the B8S, and it may improve trolling performance. If the B8S fouls on you or 'reads' too cold, the B6S is an option.

Personally, I wouldn't use either. Stick with the Champion J4C (was J4J), they simply work better on OMC outboards. The hotter alternative is the J6C. Both are available at Canadian Tire.

Remember, on 2-strokes we're after a nice brown colour on the insulator.

Good luck!
