I need to replace my plug wires and I was wondering if there was anything special about outboard wires or is it ok to use automotive wires?

I live in NJ and the nearest boat store is in Delaware but there's an Advance Auto parts store a few blocks from my house.

If automotive wires are ok to use, should or could they be carbon/graphite or copper wire?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Spark Plug Wire Replacement

Copper wire only.

The fancy ones have too much resistance for the ignition system on an outboard, and will not fire, and may damage ignition system.
