My Cobalt 206 has responded very nicely to the smart tabs, but my wake has a huge amount of washout now and is a bummer for wakeboarding. Can the tabs be adjusted to get rid of the washout? Do I need to install the release levers? How big of a deal are they to install?

They do sell a retractor bracket for them, but I don't think you could install it without first removing the existing bracket and sealing those holes. The new bracket changes the attachment point because the shock attaches to it in a different manner. You would have to drill 2 new holes. They do pull the tabs up above the plane of the hull and they are very easy and quick to use.

Here's what they look like.
