size and year of Johnson ouy board

I have a Johnson out board #J20CRCDC / E6180581<br />My bothers neighbor gave it to me, he said it was a 1974 25 hp. I thought from the J20 it would be a 20 but the cover says 25 and on a sticker on the cover over the carb it says 1979 25hp timing is 34 degs. I couldn't find those numbers on the Johnson Dock Talk web site. Anyone know a web site or what year and size it is?<br />Thanks<br />Homer whendri893@aol.com

1986 it is:<br /><br />E=Evinrude<br />20=HP<br />CR= Canada Derated - Rope Start<br />CD= year 1986<br />C= Model run<br /><br />Man, I must be bored!!

I have a motor that is put togeather with about 4 different years but still runs good. if it runs good bang the throttle and let her rip

That is the great thing about older john/rudes.<br />The parts from many differant years ,H/P, Models are interchangable.
