No. I just recently bought the Merc. The boat originally had ( when i bought it) a mid 50's 'Rude on it. 35hp lark. It was a short shaft so I am not sure if it came with the boat originally. The bottom of the prop was level with the bottom of the boat. but it was seized anyway. I sold it for $150 and bought the Merc 402 for $500. It sure does make the boat go like snot. I am glad I bought it.
I am getting rid of the windshield. All scratched and broken. Looks terrible. Hoping I can find another one. And no guages. I wanted to know what guages I need in a little 14 foot runabout. There is a weird fitting coming out of my lower unit on the merc. Spedo maybe?
My first boat... "actually belongs to the wife" 88' fourwinns freedom 160. She always maintained the brightwork but her ex never winterized or did mechanical maintenance.. a real shame but the hull and interior are in such good shape, I may just repower it if the JBWeld doesn't hold on the cracked block
Paid $1900 on eBay. It was local so I saw it before bidding. It needed/needs a lot of work, but it seems to be an ok boat. It doesn't look TOO bad, but it definitely needs some TLC. Part of the floor are soft and the seats need some work, but overall, it runs, it was cheap, and it doesn't look too bad for 20 years old.

Well... Here is my Tub: 1976 23ft Crestliner (it says 2455 on the side though) with a 235 OMC and an OMC Stringer Outdrive... I know, I know.

boat....hopefully not my last. Its not perfect but it was well kept and it is running well for me so far.

It is a 1990 and I was worrid about towing with it at first but it proved well.
