Should i put new bowl inlet needles in 60hp merc carbs

took off mid 90s 60hp mercury carbs to clean, carbs are extremely clean after years of use, gasket sets are real cheap and i will be using the original floats my question is do i need new inlet needles and does the seat come out it looks brass made in the carb. Thanks

My '77 Merc has brass seats and they are not replaceable, at least that is what I was told. I would suggest replacing the needles with new ethanol compliant needles, mt original types swell if I don't run the motor out of fuel each time.
