sealant removal

I just pulled the old outboard of my boat and want to clean the old sealant of the stern and around the mounting holes before installing the new motor. Any suggestions???

Get a good collection of scrappers, sharp knief, screwdrivers, chisel, and maybe the misses favorite kitchen knief and go to it. :>)

Mr. Fitz <br />Well he got the motor off so we know they didn't use 3M 5200 on it! On some sealants Acetone and some paint thinners will work to soften it up<br /><br />Link
