I am a 16 year old and I have a 30 yamaha from 1992. I have never cleaned the carbs myself. The dealear may have when I had it serviced. Does anyone have any experience with seafoam or any other carb cleaners that you can add to the gas. (Im not real big on opening up th engine) Thanks!!!

newman,

Sea Foam is a good product. I would stay away from some of the automotive fuel system cleaners.

If you are trying to fix a running problem, Sea Foam probably will not help you. A dismantling and cleaning would be recommended for that.

Sea Foam is a good "maintenance" product.

Newman, djohns19 gave you some very good advice. I use Seafoam as an additive and My carbs are clean and the need to decarb has not been a problem. Follow the manufacturers recommendations and you will be fine. You Should notice slight performance increases if your engine is not presently in need of major servicing. Good Luck!
