what happens to the engine or the engine related parts, if sand from the water is aspired? Sometimes there is mud, dirt and sand which can not be avoided to be aspired.

I assume that you are talking about the cooling system . . .

If sand is drawn into the cooling system, it will 'do its best' to move the sand along. Usually, the sand will decide that it has found a nice home somewhere along the way. Where exactly that is . . . anyone's guess.

You can also pull the block drain plugs and flush the sand out that way.

Ayuh,... If ya mean aspired into the cooling system, it just passes along, 'n usually lodges itself behind the block drains...
If ya get in to deep, with too much muck, it can completely plug up the water intake, 'n be a serious issue,...
I've got a 7.5hp outboard that needs some TLC because of just that...

If ya mean aspired into the induction stream, ya got serious Problems...

It also eats up the rubber impeller in the lower unit.
