ring free

I was told by a yamaha dealer that if you use yamaha ring free in your 4 stk, that you would have to use it,every time you put gas in, is this true?

Ring Free, mercury Quickleen, Seafoam. Take your pick.

I figure its cheap insurance against carbon build up.

I use Seafoam, can't get ringfree in my part of Canada.

I wouldn't beleive what the dealer said. That makes no sense, other than indicate he wants you to buy that stuff from him forever. It is about $1 and ounce! Fortunately if the motor isn't already carboned up, you can use only 1 oz per 12 gallons of fuel. I'm going to start using it in my 4 year old F60, on top of Seafoam and/or Stabil.

beats me, I have 90 hours on my 07 F150 and I am to cheap to buy ring free.
