I bought a 2000 Larson 254 cabrio a few months back, and I am trying to get all of my electronics and other items (rod holders, rod racks, ect) installed before winter.

I thought I would relate this story. I needed to get my transducer wire, and fuel flow sensor wire from the engine bay to the helm area. What a nightmare. I found a panel in the aft cabin that I could remove for better access. Using a snake and fish sticks I finally got the job done, I just cant get over how most of these boats now are wired before the cap is placed on the hull, without a chase or anything else for future use. I will also add that as an electrician I think I am pretty good at fishing wiring in anywhere, it still took 2 hours!

most are wired prior to the hull and cap mating, future chases cost money, so they don't worry about it. bean counters say no.
