I'm having trouble finding the listed spark plug for my outboard, Johnson Seahorse 80hp V4.
Champion J4C or J6C plugs or NGK B8S plugs are listed for this outboard ..
I heard of some people being able to use NGK B6S but this is listed for Johnson 35hp. Would would be the effect of using this plug on an 80HP? Would it run too hot and potentially damage the piston?

I believe the current recommendation is J4C. The NGK eqivalent is B7S

B6S are the equivalent of J6C and hotter than J4C or B7S

The Champ J4's or J6s are very common plugs. Should be very easy to aquire.

ngk will cause lots of problems.
the best plug to use for high speed is one with no electrode, the surface gap plug is best for this engine IF running fast most of the time.
Definitely stick to champion plugs, ngk have realy let themselves down in the last decade with very inferior products that fail very often.
plus their cross ref is often misleading.
