Hello,
Looking for suggestions for good replacement carburators and cfm size for my engines. Also a good intake as well if Im going to change the carburators.
I have twin 1976 225hp Mercruiser Ford 302's going through opposed rotating TR-2 I/O Legs. Port Serial Number is 378064, and Stbd Serial Number is 3780189.
The legs were gone through by mercruiser around 7 years ago, and the engines were rebuilt after one of them being cooked around the same time. Then sat for years.. Then I bought it. Thus me needing to change my seized and severely corroded holley's.
Ive looked through summit, and it suggests a Marine Model 4160 450 cfm one, only its for a 1985-2001 windsor. 450 cfm also seems a bit small to me.

As for the intake manifold, with the stock manifold and current Carbs it came from the factory with, I cant go much higher. I've only got about 1.5 - 2 inches of clearance from my spark arrestors till I hit my engine hatch.
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
Russ
