My buddies boat has a 454 with dual props following book directions.It says helmet must be removed.With special tool.The book even has part number for tool.The shops say the have no idea about tool.Just trying to help a friend any thoughts
It might help to know which model DP your working on, they've been around for a long time. Maybe a pic or at least the boat model year and/or engine model/serial number.
Why are you trying to remove just the helmet? There really isn't any reason to unless yours is broken. It would also help to know what manual you are looking at so we know what to look at.
