Removing #10 screws from fiberglass deck

In the past I have sheared-off more screw heads because, I think, of the adhesive sealant. Is there a good method of preparing decking screws for removal? (I say primarily decking because they are the ones most exposed to heat/cold, wet/dry and can be the most ornery to remove)
Thanks

More than likely (Hopefully) those are stainless steel screws which are inherently softer then regular steel screws.

It is one of those things we have learned to deal with. SELDOM do they come out "intact" since sealants are used OR the deck has swelled around them.

What is your reason for removal?

I am replacing non-stainless 90 degree stanchions with stainless. Thanks for your reply...I guess I'll keep the Dremel tool handy.

smack the head of the screw with a hammer.

not hard enough to drive the screw lower or to bend the screw.....but to break any bond that the screw may have with the sealant.

but for the most part.....usually they are so toast that you needed need worry about them.....they will break off
