Remote wiring harness colour code 1984 25 hp electric start Evinrude.

Hi, some help would be much appreciated. The harness has been cut off from the old remote control end it`s a 8 core cable with the following colours.
Larger RED, I assume incoming pos +.
Smaller BLACK, I assume incoming neg -.
" Purple.
" Purple/white trace.
" Yellow/red trace.
" Black/yellow trace.
" Brown.
" Grey.

Can anyone tell me what connects to what at the remote control end ?
