relaced VRO/ ignition & trim dead now, related?

I just installed a re-man VRO from DFI on my 94 140 Evinrude. I didn't test it immediately afterward, went back the next day and now the trim, ignition and initial alarm horn don't do a thing. Could the new VRO cause this? I haven't replugged in the old VRO to test yet, came home to get my repair manual.

Check large red wire harness connector, may be unplugged. Check 20 amp fuse in engine harness. Battery charged and connected?

It was the 20 amp fuse. Thanks for responding.
