I can attest to the possibility of a LONG TERM water filled engine actually rotating by hand with the water still in it...

I bought a used Kawa Jetmate. Its engine well has half the engine below the level of the drain plug. I expected things to not be too bad because of the engine turning by hand (and water coming out the spark plug holes). Nope.. there was no useful part in the engine. Not even the block.

UPDATE:
I finished the reconditioning /Rehab of this 87 Four Winns. I'm super pleased with the final result. Now that I have only $860 and 170 hours into it, it looks like it was just pulled off the dealers lot. Including the motor/outdrive.
There seemed to be little damage from being rain flooded...for now! ...only time will tell. I didn't rebuild it...
BUT!!! Now that is done the son-in-law that "gave it to us" refuses to provide the title... he stats that he never "gave " me the boat...WOW!!!! and to keep the peace and still be able to see the grandson... I had no choice but to give the boat back... I'm so disappointed!!!!

Wow! Great job. Looks just like mine ( when I got it 25 years ago). Too bad the sil is being .... unpleasant about the "gift".
