Hi!
There's a recent thread concerning someone who wanted to test a power pack off a 1973 115HP Johnson engine. You replied, "Randy, unfortunately proper testing requires a certain test meter, and the motor intact and cranking.
DHP"

Are you referring to the M80 or S80 neon test light that's shown in the Johnson Service Manual? If so, do you know where to get one? I've looked high and low with no luck!
Thanks!

They haven't recommended that neon tester for over 20 years. Today all electronic ignitions are tested using a peak reading voltmeter.

You can buy the meters, over $100, or buy adapters for digital meters for around $35-50.

Contact Precision Sales and Mfg. at 1-800-237-5947

Re: QUESTION FOR DHPMARINE.......

That's what I get for owning a 1974 engine and getting the service manual to match! For $100 it might be easier to toss a few parts at it first!!!
