Q4 trim tab function

Tahoe Q-4, 2005 first time posting, and new to I/O boating.
Test ride prior to purchase lugged stern deep into trough, in following this forum it seems many add smart trim tabs to extend wetted hull, and counteract bow lift.
This hull has a projection off swim deck such that the tabs won't be in plane with hull, rather ~4" above slip stream. Posting this image to illustrate.
Will the tabs function as designed, or am I gilding the lily?

Welcome
Tabs of any kind will help bring the bow down, they also create drag. They will also reduce speed, just how much is the variable. The so called non-adjustable "smart" (funny) tab will not help level the boat
