We are getting a 2004 Honda 4-stroke 75hp outboard that is currently on a neighbors pontoon and plan on putting it (and the controls) onto our 1994 pontoon (which currently has a 2-stroke Mariner).
Best guesstimate for hours on the motor is 1700-2500 hours. It has been run this year and has always been serviced twice a year by a local marina.
Is there anything we should be on the lookout for? Timing belt? We realize it is carbureted. I know Honda is known for reliability, and I am pretty psyched to be moving up to a Honda 4-stroke for our old pontoon...
Thank you,
Melanie
